Temple Emanu-El members and friends made 225 sandwiches on Thursday afternoon that were included the next morning in New Dover United Methodist Church's delivery of bag lunches to St. Joseph Social Service Center in Elizabeth for their food program. Our May 28th sandwich makers were: Religious school student Eva Glassberg and friend, Zoe, mother, Brooke, and grandmother, Sue; recent college grad Amelia Riebling; veteran sandwich makers Bobbi Block and Lynn Bergner, choir members Marlene Hawes and Fran Berg, and instigators Paul Nadler and Anne Newman. All in an hour of sweat equity and fun!

Our Religious School students finished the year strong. Just look at those smiles! We are so proud of all they learned, created, and experienced this year. Our "littles" wanted to share their garden and our fifth graders wanted to share what they learned about yads. Enjoy!

Over the last month, our community has been filled with music, learning, kindness, and connection. We enjoyed an incredible Spring Concert, celebrated a beautiful Religious School-led Shabbat service, and watched our students partner with the Social Action Committee to make more than 200 sandwiches for neighbors experiencing food insecurity. And that’s only some of what we’ve been up to! We are so proud of the energy, compassion, and spirit our community continues to bring to everything we do.
