He has Risen!

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:5-6

Today we celebrate the greatest victory in history — the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ! Because He lives, we have hope, joy, and eternal life.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." — 1 Peter 1:3 (NIV)

May this Easter fill your heart with peace, your soul with hope, and your life with the joy of knowing that the tomb is empty and love has won forever.

What a delightful day to hunt for the beautifully colored eggs the children created this past Wednesday evening! We are grateful for the children and their parents who celebrated the Easter holiday with us today. May we all find joy in honoring our risen Lord as we gather for worship tomorrow morning. If you're seeking a church community, please join us at 8am for our Easter Service, followed by a breakfast gathering in our Fellowship Hall.

Many Christian families use egg dying to teach the story of the resurrection and new life in Christ. Thank you, Terri and Jordan for all the work you ladies do with our children and youth to help them grow in their knowledge, faith, and love in Jesus Christ. All students enjoyed themselves last night at our Easter egg dying party! And thank you, youth for helping out the “littles”💜

In case anyone is wondering the meaning behind the tradition of coloring Easter eggs…

1. The egg symbolizes new life 🥚
An egg looks lifeless on the outside, but inside it holds life. For Christians, this reminds them of the tomb of Jesus Christ—which appeared sealed and lifeless but was opened when He rose from the dead.

2. The empty egg represents the empty tomb
Just as a chick breaks out of an egg, Christians remember that Jesus came out of the tomb alive. The empty egg is a reminder of the resurrection.

3. The colors celebrate joy and victory
Brightly colored eggs symbolize the joy of the resurrection—celebrating that Jesus conquered sin and death.

4. An early Christian tradition
In early Christian history, eggs were often dyed red to represent the blood of Christ and His sacrifice on the cross.

Thank you, Mrs. Audra, for such a fun and meaningful children’s message this morning! ✨

The Resurrection Eggs were a beautiful reminder of the Easter story, and we are incredibly grateful for that empty egg—a powerful symbol that Jesus conquered sin and death through His resurrection. ✝️🥚

What a blessing to see truth shared in a way that helps children understand the greatest hope we have!
