"Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips!" Psalm‬ ‭141‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Words matter...even our typed words. In another verse we are warned that we will give an account for every idle word that we speak. I believe this to be especially true for Christians. The words we speak and the words we type should be encouraging and uplifting. Our words should not be full of vulgar curse words. Just because we are saved by grace and live under grace, we don't have permission for the use of such words. There was a day that my mouth spoke such words, even while professing to be a Christian. God convicted me and cleaned up my language. What about you?

"...and be sure your sin will find you out." Numbers‬ ‭32‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Would you agree that we are born being sneaky? It seems that the youngest child knows how to sneak around. I think for most of us we never grow out of being sneaky, no matter our age. Most of our sneakiness is not harmful. But, without the help of the Holy Spirit, our sneakiness can become harmful. This is especially true when being sneaky becomes hiding willfull sin. Be warned, at some point this sin will become known to others, and it's always known to God.

It's Monday...again. For many, Monday is the hardest day of the week. It's back to the same old grind after enjoying the weekend. Maybe you are one of these people. I challenge you today to consider the blessings of another Monday. We get to choose how we will look at Monday. We should choose wisely as Believers. In essence, choose life as this verse commands. God made Mondays just as He made the weekends. Happy Monday, y'all!

"Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I have never been one to worry much about my clothes. I don't need much in the way of today's latest fashions. I'd rather spend my money on other items. For some, clothes are important. They do desire to look stylish. That's ok. We are just different. The more important clothing for all of us is mentioned in this verse. You can't buy it, borrow it, or even steal it. This clothing can only come as a gift from God due to our faith in His Son. May we worry more about wearing this clothing than today's latest fashions.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Being God's workmanship brings with it a responsibility. We are to do good works. In a nutshell, we are to do His will and live a Godly life. Ultimately, His workmanship goes deeper than creation. It also includes our salvation. It is through His works that salvation is possible. Knowing this, we should want to do good works as thanks for what He has done. May we live for Him today.

A master craftsman can take a few objects and make something special. God is definitely a master craftsman. In the beginning He took nothing and made everything. He took dirt and made man. He used a rib to make woman. When we look into a mirror at our reflection, we are looking at the workmanship of God. Because we are His workmanship, we have value. Never believe the lie that you are worthless.

"And Jesus said to them, "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you believe in Me as Savior and believe in the saving power of My blood which will be shed for you], you do not have life in yourselves." John‬ ‭6‬:‭53‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Flesh and blood. Sounds gruesome doesn't it? But, without doing as this verse says we have no salvation. No, we will not eat literal flesh and drink literal blood. The Amplified Bible as quoted gives us insight into this verse. It all boils down to belief in Christ being born in human flesh, and shedding His saving blood for our salvation. Our salvation is because of what He did, not anything we have done.

First, thank each of you who prayed for Rhonda's surgery. It went well and recovery is going well from the vertebrae replacement in her neck.

"...And God saw that it was good." Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Multiple times in the creation account, God proclaimed it was good. What He created pleased Him and was to His standards. He gave us a world to live in that He declared was good. This includes all of the vegetation, animals, fish, stars, sun, and moon. All is good. As you deal with life today, take a moment to look at what God has gifted us and declare along with Him, "It is good,"
