Chuckie Stevens is the author of “You are the Man: Called According to His Purpose.” He is a Husband and Father who is passionate about Jesus and helping men grow to become Spiritual Leaders in their homes and community. Chuckie loves to connect with men through teaching small groups, leading discipleships, and promoting missions. Chuckie is married to Amanda Stevens and they have 3 children, Colin 19, Andrew 17, and Avalea (pronounced AVA-LEE.) You can find Chuckie teaching Small Group on Sunday mornings at Church at the Mill (Lake Cooley Campus), leading a discipleship weekly in a local coffee shop, or going for a run at Tyger River Park.

This morning, as I sat not alone, but with my Father in a coffee shop, I read two distinctly different Psalms (87–88).

Psalm 87 celebrates God’s goodness and His city, while Psalm 88 wrestles with darkness, suffering, and the apparent silence of God.

I thought to myself, “If I wrote a Psalm, what would mine say?”

The thing is, I am writing it. Others are reading it. So, what do they read?

My encouragement today is… “Be the Psalm you want others to read.”
