Trinity Sunday.

This Sunday is Trinity Sunday, signaling the start of Ordinary Time.

Trinity Sunday commemorates the Christian doctrine of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—three persons in one substance, an eternal community of love. Observed on the first Sunday after Pentecost, Trinity Sunday marks the beginning of the Trinity Season (or Trinitytide), also called the Season after Pentecost or Ordinary Time. Trinity is a fitting name for this season because the focus shifts from the great feasts of sacred history—Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Easter, Ascension, and Pentecost—to the ongoing life of Christian growth in the love of our Trinitarian God.

With deepest sadness, we share the loss of our dear Mary Shrock. Mary passed away unexpectedly yesterday, May 27th, 2026. A beloved member of Christ Church and devoted wife to her husband Joe, Mary brought joy, creativity, and passion to her world. She was so talented and used that talent to create beautiful works of art to enhance our world. Mary saw beauty where there was none; she transformed our lives and the space we lived in, bringing order from chaos and treasures from trash. Now she is in heaven with the angels, singing praises and being enveloped with beauty beyond compare! I am sure she is redecorating God's mansion's many rooms. It is a joyful thought that we can cling to amidst our sorrow in losing her on this earthly plane. May she and all the souls of the earthly departed rest in peace.

We wish all of you a most Happy Mother’s Day. This day can bring a real mixture of feelings. The joy of celebrating our Mother’s and their unique relationship with us. Sometimes it brings sadness if our Mother’s have passed on. Some women have never had children, and would have liked them. Some of us had Mothers who were troubled and struggling with their own wounds, leaving difficult feelings that can be stirred up on this day. Remember that God is with us through all things. That God is with us in both our joy and sorrow. Also that he asks us to love him and love our neighbor as ourselves. So honor your Father and Mother as we have been commanded and blessings to you on this day. Peace

Bob Fussell Committal Service
Saturday April 18th 2:00 pm

The Committal Service for Bob is tomorrow at 2:00 at our columbarium. Fr. Bob Book is officiating and Fr. Billy Alford is the soloist.

Faye and Bob want everyone to be comfortable so please wear something to withstand the heat. Umbrellas might help you avoid a sunburn.

After the committal, there's a celebration in the parish hall if you wish to bring finger foods. We can swap stories and share pictures you have of Bob.

This is a celebration of a long, well-lived life!
