Church member Greggie Gerrans shares a story of belonging—to oneself, to one another, and to God. From reconciling faith and identity to building a life with his husband, Greg Harvath, and adopting their son in the weeks after 9/11, it’s a reflection on faith, love, family, and the ways love leads us home. ❤️🏳️‍🌈🙏

This Sunday for Pride Month, church member Greg Gerrans will share a personal reflection about faith, family, and the unexpected paths that lead us home.

Through stories spanning childhood, spirituality, love, adoption, and parenthood, Greggie will reflect on the journey he and his husband, Greg Harvath, have traveled together over more than three decades. From growing up in the church and struggling to reconcile faith and identity, to building a life together and adopting their son Mason from Ukraine in the weeks following September 11, 2001, theirs is a story of listening, trusting, and following where love leads.

At its heart, this reflection is about belonging—belonging to ourselves, to one another, and to God. It is a story of discovering that even in life’s most uncertain moments, grace is present, hope endures, and love has a way of leading us exactly where we are meant to be.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Pride Month and hear a story of faith, family, resilience, and the many ways God shows up in our lives.

PRIDE SOCIAL BRINGS COMMUNITY TOGETHER!

The History Center in Douglas became a beautiful backdrop for Saugatuck-Douglas's CommUNITY PRIDE newest addition to Pride Week, the PRIDE Social.

More than 200 community members came out to enjoy some delicious food, drinks, and live music on a beautiful evening to visit with neighbors and meet some new acquaintances.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the Saugatuck-Douglas History Center for hosting the event, and to the Douglas United Church of Christ, the First Congregational Church of Saugatuck, Unity Church on the Lakeshore, and Out at St. Peter's for providing the delicious food and drinks. Also, thank you also to Caitlin Cusack and all the performers for providing our soundtrack for the evening. Thank you all for showing your PRIDE!
