Join us at 10:00am as we begin More to the Story. Jesus' parables are familiar to many of us, but there's more to these stories than meets the eye. Come discover the life-changing truths they contain.

We also have the joy of taking communion today, so if you are joining us online, now's the time to grab some bread and juice.

There's a moment in Sunday's message that's hard to shake.

A Pharisee named Simon invites Jesus to dinner. Sounds generous, right? But Pastor Tim Vink walked us through what was actually happening. Simon never washed Jesus' feet when he arrived. No greeting. No anointing. Every gesture of welcome that any decent host would have offered, Simon withheld. On purpose.

And then a woman walks in. The kind of woman that polite society doesn't talk to. She knelt behind Jesus, started weeping, and wiped her tears off his feet with her own hair. She kissed his feet. She poured expensive perfume on them. Everything Simon refused to do, she did.

Jesus looked at Simon and asked, essentially: do you see what she's doing? She's doing this because she knows how much she's been forgiven. You're doing nothing because you think you don't need it.

Then the men at the table asked the question that sits at the center of this whole series: "Who is this man that he goes around forgiving sins?"

That's not just their question. It's ours.

Who is Jesus to you, practically, right now, in your actual life this week? Is he someone you keep at a polite distance, like Simon? Or is he someone you're grateful enough to be embarrassing about?

The woman left that dinner table with two words from Jesus: "Go in peace." Simon left with a question he still hadn't answered.

We'd love to hear from you. What from Sunday is still with you today? Drop it in the comments or share this with someone who needs it this week.

LOOK AT THAT TRANSFORMATION!!! We are one step closer to the finished project. This transformation helps create a space where kids immediately know this place was made with them in mind. From bright colors to creative spaces, every part of this hallway is meant to help communicate the life-changing love of Jesus from the moment they walk through the doors.

And we are so excited for you to see all the other transformations happening in the building. Go God!
