Ephesians 2 tells us that without Christ, we werenโ€™t simply struggling or in need of a little help. We were dead in our sin.

๐๐”๐“ ๐†๐Ž๐ƒ.
โ€œBut God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us lifeโ€ฆโ€ โ€” Ephesians 2:4-5

We arenโ€™t saved by our good works. We are saved for good works. God has placed each of us where we are on purpose, for His purpose and His glory.

No one is too lost, too broken, too far, or too sinful for God to save.

๐’๐„๐‘๐Œ๐Ž๐ ๐‘๐„๐‚๐€๐ | ๐–๐ก๐ž๐ง ๐†๐จ๐ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ
This week, we wrapped up our journey through Zephaniah with a powerful reminder: ๐‘ฆ๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘Ÿ ๐‘ ๐‘ก๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ๐‘ฆ ๐‘–๐‘ ๐‘›โ€™๐‘ก ๐‘œ๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘Ÿ.

What began as a warning of judgment ends with restoration, rejoicing and hope. When Godโ€™s people repent, God restores. And where there is restoration, there is reason to rejoice!

๐Ÿ“– Zephaniah 3:17
โ€œThe Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.โ€

Three reminders from this week:
1๏ธโƒฃ ๐๐ž ๐†๐ฅ๐š๐ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‘๐ž๐ฃ๐จ๐ข๐œ๐ž
Because of Jesus, our sin may be part of our story, but it is not the ending. God has rescued, redeemed and restored us.

2๏ธโƒฃ ๐๐ž ๐‚๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ ๐ž๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ
Redeemed people have nothing to fear! Our security isnโ€™t found in our circumstances or our own strength. It is found in the promises, provision, presence and power of God.

3๏ธโƒฃ ๐‘๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐…๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฅ โ€” ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ
Even when we canโ€™t see how the story will unfold, we can trust the One writing it. Our hope isnโ€™t built on probability, but on Godโ€™s promises.

Whatever season youโ€™re walking through today, remain faithful. God is with you, He is for you, and He is mighty to save.

We are so excited to officially welcome Parker Wiens as our new Student Minister at FCC!

Parker comes to us from Hastings, Nebraska, and is a graduate of North Central University with a degree in Church Leadership. He has felt called for years to guide students toward the hope and deliverance found in Jesus, and we are so grateful God has brought him to Dodge City to live out that calling!

Parker is also engaged to Hannah, and we are excited to welcome her into the FCC family as well! ๐Ÿค

When he isnโ€™t spending time with students, youโ€™ll probably find Parker reading, cheering on one of his sports teams (regardless of their winning record ๐Ÿ˜…), or adding to his surprisingly large rubber duck collection. ๐Ÿฅ

Parker, we are so glad youโ€™re here! We canโ€™t wait to see how God uses you to encourage, lead, and invest in the next generation at FCC.
