6th grade went on a very patriotic and moving journey to the “Flags of Valor” display at Art Hill.

We honored the fallen heroes of the war on terrorism since 9/11 25 years ago.

We left some spiritually uplifting notes on many flags.

We also visited some mummies and Ancient Egypt artifacts at the Art Museum.

What would you choose to explore beneath the ocean’s surface? During our Ocean Book Tasting, the 3rd graders sampled fascinating books about sharks, giant squid, Jacques Cousteau, Eugenie Clark, the mysterious deep ocean, and more – – plus a few ocean-themed snacks! It was a fun and tasty way to discover which books make them hungry to keep reading!

What a blessing to gather together for chapel today!
A special thank you to Pastor Hanke for sharing God’s Word with us from Matthew 18:1–14. We were reminded to “cut out” the things in our lives that lead us away from God and to look around us with love and compassion—especially for those who may be struggling or those whom we may have hurt.

Most importantly, we were reminded of the Good News: Jesus came for ALL people! Through His death and resurrection, we have forgiveness, grace, and new life in Him.
