🌼 Our Girl Scout troop put their green thumbs to work planting cheerful flowers in the new east-side garden bed at church. Thank you, scouts, for helping us “grow” into our beautiful new spaces. 🌸

👋🏻 We're thankful to welcome 49 new friends to our St. Paul's family! Our newest members were received into the congregation last Sunday and join us through adult Confirmation, reaffirmation of faith, and via transfer. God’s blessings.

🎂 Tabby Comfort Dog often attends our Tuesday church meetings — and because today’s her 12th birthday — our staff enjoyed singing rounds of “Happy birthday to you” and “God‘s blessings to you” … just as we do for all staff birthdays! 🎈

Today, on Trinity Sunday, guest preacher Rev. Dr. Kent Burreson shared the painting “The Trinity” by Andrei Rublev, inviting the congregation to contemplate the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

In his proclamation, Rev. Burreson emphasized that we are one family of believers, bound in love to the Lord. “God binds Himself — His name — to us, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God’s name and God’s story are so closely intertwined with our story that they cannot be separated.”

Today we celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday: God in Trinity, Trinity in Unity — uncreated, infinite, eternal, almighty.

In our church chancel we see God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit depicted in the trio of east and west crimson stained glass windows.

Lamps, chairs, baskets … oh my! $2500 was raised in three hours — all for LWML mission grants — at today’s LWML tag sale.

Hosted in Kirkwood, the yard sale fundraiser was filled with treasures and finds donated by the congregation and by our Lutheran Women in Mission group, shown here in purple aprons. Many thanks! 👏🏻

This weekend we celebrate the Festival of Pentecost in worship. Our church paraments change to red, and many Lutherans enjoy wearing red to church.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Pentecost, which translates as “the fiftieth day,” commemorates the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2) and the fulfillment and conclusion of the Easter season.

"Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful people, and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Alleluia!"⁣⁣⁣⁣
