Sunday Morning Sermon, May 24th 2026

Question: Recent research tells us that this an overwhelmingly common thing people do to create an inner sense of peace. What is it?
Answer: Sit in their car!

Survey data indicates millions use their vehicles as a personal sanctuary to decompress between work and home life. Psychologists note that this habit serves as a vital boundary between different life roles (e.g., employee, parent, partner). Common reasons for sitting in a parked car include:
Decompression: Processing the day’s stress and shifting mental gears.
Solitude: Seeking quiet, alone time before entering a busy home.
The "Micro-Break": Utilizing a brief pause to catch up on podcasts, scroll social media, or simply transition without immediate demands.

If we need this kind of space to simply transition between home and work to enter with kindness and blessing, how much more do we need help blessing others in the midst of difficult circumstances? That's the subject of today's sermon. Pastor Jill brings our miniseries on blessing in for a landing today in a message called "Made to Bless."

Sunday Morning Sermon, May 17th 2026

Question: One in four men have had a relationship end because he did THIS. What did they do?
Answer: They proposed!

Ouch! In moments like these, we wish we could rewind and say something different, or nothing at all. It just goes to show how important it is to choose your words wisely and to seriously consider whether you should even use them at all.

We can convince ourselves we're saying the right thing, but it turns out to be the wrong thing at the wrong time. Today, pastor Jill continues our mini series on Blessing and speaks to us from the book of James on the subject of how we use our words. She's calling her sermon "Speak Life: Choose Your Bucket Wisely."

Sunday Morning Sermon, May 10th 2026

Question: Eight out of ten people who own one of these don’t use it. What is it?
Answer: A piano!

Do you have a piano at home? Do you play it regularly? There are some things, like pianos, that have little consequences if we don’t use them. But there are other things, that if we don’t use them well, could have big consequences. Like how we use our words. How we use our words matter. Our words can bless others, and our words can hurt others. It’s up to us how we use them.

On this Mother's Day morning, Pastor Jill leads us in a Midrash as we listen to God together to experience His words for us and for us to give His love to others.
