Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is simply pause and pray.

The General Thanksgiving reminds us that gratitude isn’t just something we feel—it’s a way of life. We give thanks for God’s goodness, His mercy, His creation, and above all, His immeasurable love revealed to us in Jesus Christ.

Take a moment today. Slow down. Remember what God has done. And let thanksgiving turn your attention back to Him. 🙏

Real freedom begins when you stop demanding that life go your way.

We think freedom means doing what we want, following our desires, and defining life on our own terms.

But Jesus offers something better.

You have to let your version of freedom die to receive His.

Surrender your plans.
Surrender your expectations.
Surrender your right to define what is good, right, and fulfilling.

And in that death, you discover freedom.

Because the Christian life isn’t about becoming the master of your own life.

It’s about becoming free enough to let Jesus be Lord.

The world says, “Follow your heart.”

Jesus says, “Follow Me.”

That’s where true freedom is found.

We’re happy to report that Fr Terry’s surgery yesterday went smoothly!

He’s back at home with the best nurse in Denver, in great spirits, and (unsurprisingly) already planning his next visit to the Back Bowls of Vail.

Thank you so much for your faithful intercessions. Keep our beloved pastor and his faithful caretaker in your prayers. 🙏

O Lord, your compassions never fail and your mercies are new every morning: We give you thanks for giving Fr Terry both relief from pain and hope of health renewed. Continue in him, we pray, the good work you have begun; that he, daily increasing in bodily strength, and rejoicing in your goodness, may so order his life and conduct that he may always think and do those things that please you; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
