St. Teresa of Ávila teaches us that prayer is about growing in friendship with the God who loves us. On her feast day, make a little room for silence with him today. St. Teresa of Jesus, pray for us!

Join us as we thank the ministry of the deacon this weekend. We at Assumption are blessed to have a treasure of a human who willingly gives his whole life to the service of the Church and to his family. Deacon Derrick valiantly serves and gives everything he has over to Jesus in order for others to know the love of Christ. Here is to a lifetime of gratitude for you Deacon and all your brothers who serve with you.

We ask that you honor and thank him today by offering a prayer for him and all he serves willingly through Christ Jesus Our Lord.

Acts 6:3-8 Therefore, brethren, select out from
among you seven men of good repute, full of the
Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint to
this duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer
and to the ministry of the word." And what they
said pleased the whole multitude, and they chose
Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy
Spirit,… And Stephen, full of grace and power,
did great signs and wonders among the people.

Assumption Parish & School Community, it's time to inform you about something that can transform Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Denver. Beginning in January 2027, a new federal tax credit will allow anyone to redirect up to $1,700 per year of their tax liability to fund scholarships for tuition assistance to K-12 students attending Catholic Schools. You can find out more or donate today in the name of Assumption by following this link. Any adult who pays taxes can donate to this fund, even out-of-state family and friends!

THE SAINTS CALLED THE ROSARY A WEAPON. THEY MEANT IT.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary—and we are reminded of one of the greatest spiritual weapons the Church has placed in our hands.

The Rosary is not just a string of beads.
It is not just a childhood prayer.
It is not something we reach for only when life falls apart.

It is a weapon. A lifeline. A battle cry.

The saints knew this. Take a look at their wisdom and may it inspire you to fight and pray!
