Following the example of Jesus Christ, we seek to live a faith-centered life by embracing & serving our broader, diverse community. The Episcopal Church welcomes and celebrates the ministries of all people, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, marital status, social class, or age. We are grounded in what we call the “via media:” the middle way. The Via Media concept originated in 16th century England, articulating a middle ground between the polarities of the day - Roman Catholicism and Puritanism. The Episcopal Church continues to define a middle way through the issues of this day. We embrace the full specturm of humanity defining our faith through reason, tradition, and scripture. Rather than telling people what to believe, we provide safe places for questions and struggles of faith. Consequently, our unity comes from worshipping together, there is no mandate for conforming to a specific set of rule for our Christian faith. Our character is deeply based in our ability to include a diversity of perspectives. The Bible is the foundation of our faith, and the sacred stories shape all that we do. However, we do not interpret the Bible literally. We see it as a living text, through which God continues to speak to us. Informed by our tradition, reason and experience, our understanding of scripture continually evolves, expanding and changing as our experience of the world expands and changes. Our common life is fed by the two central sacraments of Eucharist and Baptism: signs to remind us of God’s grace. Through bread, w**e and water, we experience God’s presence in the stuff of everyday life.

Join us on Wednesday, October 28th for our Healing Holy Eucharist at 5:30 pm in the chapel, followed by Bible Study and a potluck dinner from 6-7 pm. At 7 pm, we will join virtually the Diocesan book study with Bishop Bonnie Perry of “For Such a Time as This: An Emergency Devotional,” by Hannah Reichel. Join for all or part of the evening.

We are still collecting groceries and other items for our local college students in need of assistance. Please drop off your donations at the church, and thank you for your generosity!

On Sunday, November 1, at the 10am Holy Eucharist Service, we will celebrate All Saints' Day, a special time to remember and give thanks for our loved ones who have died.

As we gather in worship, we will remember their lives, give thanks for the love they shared with us, and hold their memories in prayer, trusting in the promise of resurrection and eternal life in Jesus Christ.

If you would like us to remember a loved one who died, please submit their name to the church office by Thursday, October 29th.

May this sacred day remind us that, in Jesus, death does not have the final word and that we remain united with all the saints in the communion of God's love.
