Ephphatha Lutheran Mission Society Established by the Michigan District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, this Society's purpose is to establish ministry to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

ELMS is dedicated to serving and supporting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community with the Gospel. We work with 4 specific congregations and have an even broader base internationally. Our hope is that you use this page to spread the Word of God to those you know, Deaf, Hard of Hearing or Hearing, and in this way put the Gospel in the hands of an ever increasing community of believers.

The Ephphatha Lutheran Mission Society hosted a one day sign language camp at Concordia Theological Seminary this week. 26 children from local Lutheran, congregations attended and learned Bible stories, hymns, and parts of the Sunday Divine Service, including the Lord‘s prayer in American Sign Language. This was made possible by our talented staff with a gift from the LCMS Office of National Mission.
