Amethyst
The oldest evidence of the usage of amethyst was found in the found in the tomb of the first dynasty pharaoh of Djer (or Sekhty) which was dated roughly around 3,000 B.C.E. In the ancient Greek and Roman era amethyst was worn in a ring of bronze to protect the wearer against evil. I was also believed to be the stone that would ward off the intoxication effects of Bacchus the god of wine and pleasure. It was also on the breastplate of high priest Aaron (Exodus 39:12) and it was the stone of one of the 12 tribes of Israel.
Amethyst vibes with the planets Jupiter and Neptune, along with the elements of Water and Air. It can be used with in dream work, help in healing addiction, general healing, increasing psychic awareness, peaceful vibes, protection against thieves, working for love, courage, or happiness.
