This week, we built a doorway… and stepped into the Passover story.

Long ago, our ancestors marked their doors and hoped for protection.
Today, we gather, we remember, and we stand together.

May every Jewish home be filled with safety, strength, and blessing.

Chag Pesach Sameach.
Wishing you a meaningful and safe Passover.

Our hearts are with the members of Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, after the frightening attack at their synagogue today. We are grateful that no one else was harmed.

Moments like this send shock waves through Jewish communities everywhere. We pray for everyone who was present and for the safety of all who gather to learn, pray, and celebrate Jewish life.

Many of you may be wondering about safety. Please know that Temple Beth Or maintains strong security protocols and works closely with our local police, who are valued partners in keeping our community safe. We are also grateful to our Jewish Federation, which helps coordinate security across synagogues and Jewish institutions throughout our community.

Even in moments like this, we remember that fear is not the final word. Jewish communities respond to hatred by strengthening community, caring for one another, and continuing to gather for learning, prayer, and joy.

חֲזַק וֶאֱמָץ — Chazak v’Ematz.
May we strengthen one another and go forward together with courage.

Huge thanks to the amazing cast of our K-Pop Demon Hunter Purim Spiel! 🎭🎶

You brought the Megillah to life with incredible energy, hilarious moments, and full K-pop idol stage presence. The singing, dancing, and comedy had everyone cheering.

Special thanks to Melanie Shannon, Rachel Haug Gilbert, Paula Berman, Carrie Siegal who helped make it all happen. Our cast included all ages and this photo came from Mary Rogers.

In true K-pop style: “We ate and left no crumbs!” 🌟
