A contingent of the Precious Blood family have been spending the week learning about “The Complicated Candidate: Navigating Personality in Discernment and Formation” at St. Meinrad Archabbey in conjunction with St. Luke Institute. It’s been informative, inspirational and we are walking away with so many tools and ideas to aid the ministry that we do! Oh…and it’s always nice to reconnect with colleagues and make new friends too!

Congratulations to Sister Laura Will on her 80th Jubilee!

Having a faith-filled mother and dad and nine siblings, I learned early on that the family breakfast was always followed with an offering to God, all that we would do that day, asking Mother Mary’s help to protect us and do it well. At the time, I didn’t know much about the Precious Blood and what it meant to offer my work in union with Jesus’s sacrifice, but I am grateful for the formational instruction received while preparing to be a Sister of the Precious Blood. Since then, I have tried to daily apply with Jesus, the merits of his Precious Blood, His Redeeming Love, to many needs by offering my actions of the day.

Though great experiences of Jesus’s Redeeming Love have not been extraordinary, I hope I have helped children and adults to receive Jesus’s Redeeming Love in Escondido, California; Denver and Loveland, Colorado; Linton, North Dakota; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Celina and St. Marys, Ohio; and Maria Joseph Home, Dayton. Hopefully, I will continue to help from my home in Heaven.

A sincere “Thank You” to all who have helped me during these 80 years as a Sister of the Precious Blood!

Congratulations to Sister Eva Roehrich on her 80th Jubilee!

Sister Eva Roehrich has always experienced the redeeming love of Jesus in small ways during her day-to-day life. Coming from a large farming family, she knew the importance of a day-to-day routine from her childhood. During her 30-year ministry in food service, she also followed routines, recipes and organizational methods that kept a kitchen running smoothly. In her almost 35-year ministry in secretarial and reception work, routines enabled Sister Eva to offer a helpful presence to everyone she came into contact with. For Sister Eva, a routine is never boring. A routine brings possibilities to share in a conversation, a meal or a prayer. These interactions form the foundation of Sister Eva’s experience of Jesus’ redeeming love.
