This monumental day served as a foundational cornerstone, officially launching a global Marianist spirit and mission that continues to inspire communities worldwide today. On September 3, 2000, Father Chaminade was Beatified by Pope Saint John Paul II who noted that Blessed Chaminade was an "apostle of the laity."
