As we enter Week Two of the World Mission Offering, our prayer focus is **Africa**. Karen R. Smith, Area Director of Africa, invites us to join her in this prayer:

Loving God,

We lift up our IM global servants and our partners in Africa before your throne of grace. For our medical ministries, we pray that people would be healed in body, mind and spirit. We ask
that adequate equipment and medical supplies be secured and provided and that health would flourish through the provision of care, education and economic livelihood.

We pray your mercy over the people of East Africa as they face another outbreak of Ebola. As our partners address genderbased violence and all forms of exploitation for both women and entrenched challenges. We pray that all forms of violence would end.

And lastly, we pray for all ministries of discipleship to continue, take root and bear fruit that will last for your kingdom.

Amen.

In the wake of yesterday’s historic flooding in Nepal, International Ministries (IM) is responding with $10,000 in One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) emergency disaster relief funds to support our partners as they provide food, shelter, and emergency supplies to those most affected.

As relief efforts begin, IM's Area Director for East and South Asia remains in close communication with our partners in Nepal to assess needs and coordinate support.

• For families who have been displaced, lost loved ones, or seen their homes destroyed.
• For first responders searching for survivors in collapsed homes and buildings.
• For the restoration of electricity, clean water, and communication systems, and protection from potential health crises.
• For long-term recovery efforts, wisdom for leaders, and resilience for communities as they rebuild.
