This Sunday in Kids Ministry, we’re starting a new series called: Emotions — and we’re beginning with Anger.

Kids feel big emotions every day, and anger is one of the hardest for them to manage. This week, we’ll look at James 1:19–27 and learn what it means to be “quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.”

We’ll help kids understand that:

-Anger itself isn’t bad — God created our emotions.

-What matters is how we respond when we feel angry.

-Pausing, praying, and listening helps us stay calm.

-When something is truly wrong, God wants us to take loving action, not lose our temper.

Our goal is to give kids simple, practical tools to help them handle anger in a way that honors God and cares for others.

We can’t wait to see your kids this Sunday during the 11:00 service.

Today in children's ministries we looked at the song/story by Dolly Parton: Coat of Many Colors. Dolly’s mama made her a coat out of scraps — pieces that didn’t look fancy or expensive. But every stitch was sewn with love. When Dolly wore it, she felt proud and special. Some kids laughed, but Dolly remembered her mama’s love and chose kindness instead of anger.

God does the same with us. God uses all kinds of “pieces” — our talents, our stories, our differences — to make something beautiful. We are God’s colorful creation, stitched together with love.

The children decorated their own coat using colorful felt pieces.

This Sunday our kids will explore Dolly Parton’s beautiful story Coat of Many Colors.
We’ll talk about how God uses all the “pieces” of our lives — our talents, our differences, our experiences — to create something wonderfully unique.
The kids will learn that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that kindness and courage are always the right choice, even when others don’t understand their “colors.”
See you this Sunday during the 11:00 service.

This Sunday come in your favorite jersey and join us for one service at 10:00 a.m. Children will remain with their families during service. We will have a children's moment where we will look at Exodus 3 and how God called Moses — even when Moses didn’t feel good enough. Our kids will learn that God calls them too, and that their gifts matter in our church family.
Helpers, singers, kind friends, brave hearts, creative minds — every gift build God’s team.
We can’t wait to worship with you.

What we learned about in children's ministries today:
PEACE IS A SUPERPOWER
The kids explored one of God’s greatest gifts — His perfect peace. We talked about how God’s peace is like a superhero force field that protects our hearts from stress, fear, and worry.

This week children are learning about one of God’s greatest gifts — PEACE.

We’re talking about how God’s peace is like a superhero force field that protects our hearts from stress, worry, and fear.

Our key verse is Isaiah 26:1–4, where God promises “perfect peace” to those who trust Him. Kids will practice giving their worries to God and remembering that His peace is stronger than anything they face at home, at school, or in their hearts.

We’ll explore:

-What God’s peace feels like

-How trusting God helps us stay calm

-How Jesus gives us peace that never runs out

-How to use this “superpower” every day

Your kids will also enjoy a hands‑on activity and craft to help them remember that God’s peace protects them.

We can’t wait to see your family this Sunday during the 11:00 service as we grow in faith, courage, and peace together.

Today we explored the story of Jesus and the Woman at the Well.
We learned that:

Everyone makes mistakes

Life can get messy

Jesus meets us right where we are

God’s grace is for everyone

God can use us to help others, even when we’ve messed up

Bottom Line:
Jesus isn’t afraid of our mess!

Memory Truth:
“I can be used by God even though I’ve messed up.”

WHY WE MADE OOBLECK

We made Oobleck — a gooey, sticky mixture that’s both a liquid and a solid.
It helped kids understand:

Messes can feel confusing or hard to fix

Sometimes our choices or feelings feel “sticky”

Jesus doesn’t wait for us to be perfect

Jesus steps into our mess with love, patience, and hope

The sensory activity made the Bible story hands‑on, memorable, and fun.

This Sunday’s lesson: Jesus Meets Us in Our Mess
John 4:7–30

We’ll explore how Jesus welcomed the woman at the well with love and grace — and how He does the same for us.

And yes… we’re making Oobleck!
A messy, hands-on reminder that Jesus meets us right where we are.

Kids will learn:
“God can use me, even when I’ve messed up.”

See you all this Sunday during the 11:00 service.
