This week in RUAH Next Gen, our small groups dug into Hebrews 12:1-2 and one truth stood out. We are not following someone who does not understand life. We are following someone who already ran the race and won. Jesus gets it.

Watch this week's update from our NextGen Director, Lymaris, and then sit down with your kids and ask what they are carrying right now that they can bring to Jesus. πŸ’›

Have you ever talked yourself out of something God was clearly asking you to do, because you did not feel qualified?

Peter was a fisherman. No training, no degree, nothing that said he was ready to lead anything. Jesus called him anyway, and people later recognized Peter had been with Jesus, that was his whole qualification (Acts 4:13-14). Paul had every credential and used them to hurt God's people, until Jesus met him on the road and turned a persecutor into a missionary (Acts 8-9).

Your education does not disqualify you. Your past does not disqualify you. Jesus is your qualification, and all He wants is your yes.

You are not behind. That thought keeps so many people stuck, comparing their season to someone else's timeline and feeling like they missed something. But God is not confused about where you are. He is not scrambling to catch up. He is still writing your story, even in the parts that feel slow, hidden, or delayed.

What looks like a detour to you might be preparation to Him. He knows how to redeem time. He knows how to take the waiting and turn it into something with purpose, something that could not have been rushed.

Your timeline is not too late for His faithfulness.

If you needed this today, let it remind you that healing, growth, and calling do not happen on a deadline. They happen in step with Jesus.

Comment CALLING and we'll send you the link to discover how God is preparing you for what's next.

Hey NextGen families! ✨Lymaris here... This week we're learning that Jesus called us the light of the world (Matthew 5:14), and that means we get to shine His light everywhere we go!

Practice this declaration together as a family this week, hand motions and all (watch the video for how to do them): "God made me to shine His light, to lead others to Him, and to His love."

Say it in the car, at bedtime, before school, whenever works for your family. The more our kids hear it and say it, the more they believe it.

Try it out this week and tag us, we would love to see your family shining bright! πŸ’›

Some stories just remind you that Jesus never stops chasing after the people we love.

This weekend, Alexis stood up and shared about her dad, Larry. About the years of praying, waiting, and trusting God. A few weeks ago Jesus met Larry right where he was (hint: it was a soccer game) and showed him just how deeply he is loved.

If you've got someone you've been praying for and it feels like nothing is happening, let this be your reminder today. Jesus is not done. He pursues. He reveals. He restores.

Who is the "Larry" in your life that you're believing for? Drop their name (or just a πŸ™) in the comments so we can be praying with you.

You don't have to walk into the room hoping something good happens. You walk in already carrying it.

Jesus said you are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13). That's not a title you earn once you've proven yourself, it's already true the moment you belong to Him. Salt doesn't strive to flavor the dish. It just has to be present. It heals, it preserves, it brings out what was already there waiting to come alive.

That changes what it means to lead. You stop walking into meetings, homes, and hard conversations trying to prove you belong there. You start walking in knowing the flavor of Christ is already on you, and that changes the room before you say a word. Leading from that place isn't about being the loudest voice or having it all figured out. It's staying soft, staying prayed up, and trusting that His presence in you is enough to shift the atmosphere.

We're kicking off our new series, You Are a Leader, with our church over the next few weeks, and we would love for you to walk through it with us.

Head over to our website: www.theriseupculture.com/blog πŸ‘‰οΈ There you can even go deeper by signing up for the FREE course to go alongside the series, plus a book to read together as we go.

Thanks for helping people rise with us!

You are not who you used to be. That old version of you, the one shaped by shame, fear, striving, or trying to earn love, was crucified with Christ. It does not run the show anymore. Galatians 2:20 says it plainly. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

That means the life you are living now is not about working harder to become someone. It is about learning to live from who you already are in Him. Loved. Chosen. Made new.

You do not have to perform for grace. Jesus already gave himself for you, out of love, not obligation. Your job is not to prove your worth. Your job is to walk in it.
If you are in a season of learning what it really means to live by faith instead of striving, you are exactly where God can meet you.

Comment FREEDOM and we will send you the link to walk deeper into healing and identity in Christ.
