Today we discovered a gift we didn't even know was waiting for us.

Many of you know that Cub Scout Pack 175 participated in the Trex recycling program, collecting and submitting over 1,000 pounds of plastic film and bags to earn a community bench.

What we didn't know was that the bench had been dedicated in honor of Dalton United Methodist Church for our continued support of Pack 175.

Tucked away in Platt Park, this beautiful bench now serves as a reminder of what can happen when a community works together.

We're grateful to Pack 175 for this unexpected honor and for the many years of partnership, service, and friendship we have shared.

If you happen to visit Platt Park, take a moment to stop by, enjoy the view, and maybe sit for a spell. We are humbled by the recognition and thankful for the opportunity to support the young people and families of our community.
