Please be with us for the Three Days.

Wherever you are on the journey, there is a place for you here.

Our fourth Encounter experience—an encounter through worship—is one you won’t want to miss. This is but a clip of the amazing sounds from our most recent rehearsal!

Join us tomorrow evening for “Face to Face: Encounters of the Passion,” a moving Tenebrae service presented by our combined music ministries, Sunday, March 29 at 7 PM in Our Lady of the Snows Church.

Tenebrae (from the Latin for “shadows”) is a powerful retelling of the Passion through scripture and song, marked by the gradual extinguishing of candles as the story unfolds. “Face to Face” will lead us through the deeply personal encounters of Christ’s final days—moments of love, betrayal, sorrow, and truth.

Come and prepare your heart for Holy Week.
This encounter invites us not just to remember the Passion…but to enter into it.

All are welcome!

This weekend, we gathered with our children preparing for First Holy Communion and their families for our annual Blessing Cup Mass.

Each child received a small chalice, a loaf of bread, and a book of blessings — simple gifts meant to be taken home and shared. Fr. John reminded them that breaking bread together is a way to bless any moment in life — a good grade on a math test, a three-pointer in gym, a fun day with siblings or friends. Like Eucharist, these are all opportunities where, if we’re looking, we can see Jesus face to face.

Moments like these remind us that faith is not only something we celebrate at church, but also something that grows around the table at home.

Please keep our First Communion students and their families in your prayers as they continue their journey toward receiving Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time this spring!

We all walk the same path.

Our third Lenten Encounter experience — an encounter through community — takes place this week. Our parish communities invite all to experience a prayer labyrinth — a simple winding path that leads to the center and back again. Walking the labyrinth offers a chance to slow down, step away from the noise of daily life, and spend a few quiet moments with God.

Whether you come with a question, a burden, gratitude, or simply a desire for peace, the path is here for you.

The labyrinth will remain open throughout this week for anyone who wishes to come, walk, and pray.

Let’s remember that even when we arrive at different times, we all walk the same path.

Last night, our parish celebrated the Rite of Election with 16 catechumens and candidates who are preparing to receive the Easter Sacraments at the Easter Vigil.

In this beautiful moment, they publicly expressed their desire to continue their journey of faith, and the Church joyfully affirmed their call.

Their “yes” is a powerful reminder that faith is always a journey — one we walk together. Please keep them in your prayers during these final weeks of Lent as they prepare for Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.

Our second Encounter experience — Encounter through Service — had our campuses smelling awfully good this morning! Our fourth annual SOUPER SATURDAY gathered some 60 chefs across our parishes to peel, chop, dice, stir, and simmer enormous batches of homemade soups! These delicious soups will be packaged on Monday morning to be delivered to our homebound parishioners and to help stock the shelves at local pantries and shelters.

Thanks to all who joined us — and who donated soup staples throughout the past three weekends — to help us nourish the bodies and souls of our neighbors! 🍲🥣❤️

We kicked off our Encounter experiences last evening with our Encounter with Word — a one-night evening retreat with author, podcaster, storyteller, and all-around great guy, Eric Clayton! It was an evening of deep reflection, beautiful prayer, meaningful conversations, and many laughs.

Thanks to — and to all who joined us — for an incredible moment of encounter!

We’re making connections — Confection Connections!

Our wonderful parishioners dropped off homemade baked goods this weekend, and our We Care team just finished packaging 40 boxes of treats! Now they’re out the door, delivering them to our homebound parishioners and to 16 care facilities in the Scranton area.

Thanks to all who donated and helped! We’re making days brighter one treat at a time 🍪🧁🍰
