In the Bible, Jubilee was about releasing slaves and setting people free. As my country celebrates Jubilee, I choose to release people too.

Today, before God, I release:

Dream killers.
Joy killers.
Backstabbers.
Traitors.
False accusers.
Fault finders.
Favor stealers.
Naysayers.
Controlling spiritual fathers.

I release every offense, every betrayal, every disappointment, and every hurt.

But before I talk about anyone else, I also have to look at myself.

Forgive me for being:
A grouchy husband.
A quick-tempered dad.
An aggravated pastor.

Forgive me for asking too much from people.
For expecting more from people than they were able to give.
For speaking out of turn.
For fighting to get my way no matter what.

To my family, my friends, and those who follow my ministry: before God Almighty, I confess my faults. I ask for His mercy. I ask that the blood of Jesus cover my sins. And I ask for your forgiveness too.

Today I choose humility over pride.
Grace over bitterness.
Healing over offense.
And peace over division.

In Jesus’ name.

I don't just pray this jubilee for I know unlike my fellow Jewish friends, Jesus Christ is jubilee everyday!
