Believers Chapel

Believers Chapel Non-denominational Christian Church committed to the Historical Evangelical Christian Faith

Believers Chapel is a non-denominational, evangelical Christian Church in Dallas, Texas. We are committed to the Historical Evangelical Christian Faith, Sovereign Grace and Premillennialism. Since our inception, we have sought to proclaim God's truths, love God's people, and be organized on the principles of the New Testament church. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing throug

h the word of Christ." Whether you are a professing Christian or merely curious about faith, we invite you to come and hear the teaching of God's Word. Our goal is profitable teaching, reverent worship, and warm fellowship. The Chapel has a plurality of elders and encourages all of its members to exercise their spiritual gifts for the work of the ministry. The assembly meets weekly for the Ministry of the Word, Sunday School, and the Lord's Supper. We have an excellent nursery, Footsteps of Faith program for elementary-aged children, an active Youth Group and Young Adults Ministry. Visit www.believerschapeldallas.org for information on all of our services, programs, as well as an extensive collection of nearly 50 years of preaching from our gifted teachers. Our associated website, www.sljinstitute.net is dedicated solely to the ministry of Dr. S Lewis Johnson and contains transcripts as well as audio, for over 1,500 messages by the late Dr. Johnson. “The beast thought he had conquered them by killing them, but John says they were victorious, because through death, they went from a world of pain into the presence of God. And they entered heaven triumphant, having been obedient unto death. If we have difficulty at times believing that, it is because we are so earth-bound. This is all we know. But we really do live in the shadow lands. The real world is yet to come.”

“The wrath of God is real. It is just. The Judge of all the earth will do right. And He will judge the earth. So this is a warning to unbelievers, a gracious, merciful warning to flee the wrath to come. This is the day of salvation. Today is the opportunity to come to Christ and be saved.”

“Christ will triumph completely over the Antichrist in the end. And so, in a future day, when Satan is cast down to the earth, he will begin his reign of terror. The beast from the sea and the beast from the earth will wear down the saints. It may appear they will triumph and Satan will rule the earth. But he is standing on the sand of the seashore. Christ is standing on the rock of Mount Zion. His victory and ours is certain.”

“The 144,000 sing because they have been ‘purchased from the earth’ by the blood of Christ. His sacrifice paid the penalty of all their sins. He paid it and in that way bought them for Himself. That is the reason they will triumph. It is the only reason that you and I will triumph because Christ triumphed at the cross, and redeemed us, purchased us from out of this fallen world. And so, they belong to another, to another master, to another world. They are citizens of Mount Zion. That’s where John sees them in this vision of their destiny – triumphant over the Beast.”

“Those who ‘die in the Lord’ are ‘blessed!’ And the Holy Spirit says “Yes” to that. This is the only direct quote of the Holy Spirit in the Book of Revelation. And He speaks here to confirm this great truth – that dying in the Lord is a blessing, the greatest blessing. This is true of all believers, but this is specifically a reference to a martyr’s death, to those who, as it were fall in battle. Dying in the Lord is infinitely better than holding on to this life.”

“In verse 5 we read, ‘no lie was found in their mouth.’ These are men of truth. They declare the truth, in contrast to the men of the red dragon. That should be true of all God’s servants. A lying Christian is a contradiction. A cheating Christian is a contradiction. It is a pathetic thing to find such character in the church. Satan is a liar. Christ is the truth. We are to exhibit His character in word as well as deed. We are to follow Him.”

“In the picture John was given, he could recognize the people he saw and distinguish them from the people of the Beast by the names they had on their foreheads. They belonged to Christ and are safely with Him on Mount Zion. They triumph because they belong to Him. He will not lose one of them. That’s the assurance God is giving us in this vision.”
