Some pictures of recent work on the pipe organ. The lower level of the Choir Shades went in today. These are shutters that allow the organist to vary the volume of the sound from the pipes. There are several "divisions" on a pipe organ, which are housed in separate "chambers" or rooms. Work on the "Choir" division is visibly progressing.

Our choir enjoyed learning this piece for Easter by Will Macfarlane called, "Open our Eyes." It was written in the 1920s, and has been sitting in our library untouched for many decades.

The Introit, or Entrance Psalm from Advent 2. The Sundays in the church year traditionally get their names from the first words of the Introit. This past Sunday, Advent 2, would be "Populus Sion" or "People of Zion" Sunday. I sang the traditional chant in the English adaptation by Samuel Weber.
