God is moving in the lives of young adults, and we need your help making room for them at Watermark next weekend. 🙌 As part of Awaken, our national young adults gathering happening over Labor Day Weekend, attendees will join us for Sunday services to worship with our church family, connect with a local church, and hear the hope of the gospel.

To help make room, please plan to join us tonight for a special church service! If you can't make it tonight, you're still welcome to join us on Sunday:

Sunday was full in the best way. We worshiped and prayed together, commissioned our next missionary family, continued our journey in the book of Acts, celebrated 35 followers of Jesus taking the faithful step of baptism at the pond, and witnessed the return of one of our favorite teaching tools: TA’s tubs (IYKYK!)

In the message, TA walked through Acts 19 to discuss the reality of the devil and demons. We were reminded to live awake to the enemy’s schemes, but even more awake to the victory, power, and authority we have in Christ.

Still not over the ways we saw the Spirit move last weekend 🥹 Here's another look at the 100 baptisms that took place in our Pond last Sunday.

If you missed it: we had 11 baptisms planned last Sunday, but after hearing from Acts 19 about the importance of publicly declaring our union in Christ through baptism, 89 followers of Jesus chose to be baptized after our services. 🙌

We're excited to see how God moves in our church body today! We'll see you at 9 AM, 11:15 AM, and 4 PM.

Correction: 100! 🎉 Yesterday, we shared that 99 people were baptized on Sunday—but there were actually 100! We’re celebrating each person who publicly declared their faith in Jesus and thanking God for what he’s doing in our church family.

(And yes, we know there’s a “leaving the 99 for the one” joke to be made here. 🐑 We’ll let you handle that in the comments.)

Sunday’s message was a reminder of what should be normal for followers of Jesus: trusting fully in Jesus, following him in baptism, and growing in sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. If you missed it, comment “Sunday" for the link 📲

99 baptisms in one Sunday! 🥳 Yes, 99! We had 11 baptisms planned for the day, but after hearing from Acts 19 about the importance of publicly declaring our union with Christ, 88 more followers of Jesus chose to be baptized after the services. 👏

In the message, TA challenged us to consider what should be normal in the life of a follower of Jesus: trusting fully in Jesus, following him in baptism, and living with a growing sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. We’re grateful for every person who took that step on Sunday and for the ways we continue to see God at work in our church.

The normal Christian life involves putting your sails up and being carried along by the Spirit of God. ⛵️ So ask yourself: are you living with your "sails up" to what God might be calling you to?

If your answer is no, that's OK—but don't stay there. The invitation is not to settle for a comfortable version of Christianity, but to surrender our lives to Jesus and experience the joy, purpose, and abundant life found in following him.
