Rev. 21:10 And He carried me away in The Spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from GOD…!
For a Child of God, this world is NOT our HOME!
We are only to “occupy,” (Luke 19:13) while we WATCH and WAIT eagerly, for HIS RETURN!
Our hope is to go HOME one day and be with our God throughout eternity!
As it was in the beginning, (before the fall), SO SHALL IT BE IN THE END for those of us who remain Faithful to HIM and persevere!
BUT until His return, may we be busy about our Father’s Business… REMAIN stedfast in whatever He has called us to do!
Our enemy is NOT lazy, as he zealously seeks to BLUR our vision with grief, pain, and heartache… hoping that we will either grow weary from the fight and quit…
OR, he’ll deceive us with being happy IN this world and its pleasures, and in need of nothing-while our LOVE and PASSION for the things of GOD… grows COLD!
Either way, his goal is to STOP the WORK of GOD, and… for us to lose our soul!
In 1st Corinthians 15:58 Paul wrote: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, UNMOVEABLE, always ABOUNDING in The WORK of The LORD!
In 2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore ENDURE hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ!
In 2 Timothy 4:5 Paul wrote: But watch thou in all things, ENDURE afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry!
And in verse 7, Paul finished, by saying… I have FOUGHT a good fight, I have finished my course, I have KEPT The Faith!
Paul chose to STAY in LOVE with JESUS by choosing to separate himself from this world. He remained stedfast in the WORK he was called to do, and all the while… he LONGED to go HOME!
In Philippians 1:23-24 Paul wrote, For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a DESIRE to depart, and TO BE with CHRIST; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
Paul GUARDED his HEART from falling back in love with the world… as Demas had!
2 Timothy 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica.
The Lord promises that our labor will NOT be in vain!
In Rev. 21, John saw our reward when he said, And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying,
“BEHOLD, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be there God! And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away!”
And HE that sat upon the throne said,
"BEHOLD, I make all things new. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son!"
Are you HOMEsick? Like Paul, may we maintain a DESIRE to DEPART and BE with our Lord… as we daily choose to remain STEDFAST in the WORK that HE has called us to do!
WE'LL WORK TILL JESUS COMES AND WE'LL BE GATHERED HOME! ......
O land of rest, for thee I sigh! When will the summons come? When I shall lay my armor by and dwell in peace at HOME!
WE'LL WORK TILL JESUS COMES AND WE'LL BE GATHERED HOME!
