Minister Gerald Britt stopped by as St. Philip hosted a public book signing of Minister Britt’s most recently published work: Joy to the World, a 12 day devotional that places a Christian connection towards the tradition of the 12 Days of Christmas. Hey Church Family! Due to the icy road conditions, we will not have our weekly worship service tomorrow morning. Pastor Moore wanted to share this with you: Stay at home tomorrow and remain safe with your family. Take a day of rest and fellowship with those at home. We look forward to gathering together next week, but for now stay warm!

Dr. King’s life reminds us that the fight for justice is not rooted in anger, but in Christ-like love, humility, and unwavering faith.

Scripture tells us:
“Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.” — Amos 5:24

Remembering that we are called to walk in love, stand for righteousness, and shinie God’s light in a dark world was something Dr. King did well!

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
