Did you know Ohio Lutheran students have access to interest-free college loans?

The Pierstorf College Fund provides up to $4,000 per year for Lutheran students enrolled full-time at accredited four-year colleges or universities. Since 1994, this unique ministry has awarded over $14 million to support students pursuing higher education.

Applications for 2026–2027 close June 30.

ELCA World Hunger Domestic Hunger Grants accompany congregations and their partners throughout the United States and Caribbean as they draw on the strengths of communities to address local issues such as food security, clean water, housing, job access, human rights, policy change and more. Together, these ministries are part of a comprehensive approach to breaking the cycle of poverty and hunger, for good.

2027 Domestic Hunger Grant Timeline:
• Letter of inquiry (LOI) open: April 15 – July 1
• Link to apply: 2027 Domestic Hunger Grant - Letter of Inquiry
• LOI review period: July 13 – Sept. 15
• Synod review lead webinar: July 15
• Notifications to partners invited to apply: Oct. 30 at the latest
• Partners complete applications: October – December
• Partners notified of official award: January 2027
• Grant start date: March 1, 2027

Join us for the 2026 Ohio Summer Youth Retreat!

Register by June 14th!!! Mark your calendars and start organizing your youth group for the All Ohio Summer Youth Retreat at HopeWood Pines - LMC!!!

June 28th - July 1st, 2026

This event is for youth who are entering 6th Grade through entering 12th Grade and adult leaders who will accompany them.

The cost of this mini-week is being subsidized by the Northeastern Ohio Synod's Youth & Young Adult Ministry Fund, making it possible to offer this experience for $150 per youth. Adult chaperones are free.
