Good morning! It seems like everyone has one word on their mind in our community right now: “bridges.” This made me think of 1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” The Lord is our advocate! He is our only “bridge” to the Father, as John 14:6 says: “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.’”
When you think about “bridges,” you’re probably worried about the traffic! I have an idea: when we’re sitting in traffic, waiting for a bridge that we can actually cross, let’s pray for our community and our church. Let’s try not to get frustrated; instead, let’s pray! Maybe the Lord is going to use this inconvenience to spur us on to pray more!
There are people in our community who do not know Christ. Yes, it may take us a little longer to get where we’re going, but there are people who will eternally be in the lake of fire if they don’t repent and believe in Christ. Let’s pray!
On that same note, it might take some of you a little longer to get to church on Sunday. Let’s not use the extra time as an excuse not to come to church. Leave 15 minutes earlier, and pray that the Lord will bless our services!
Love y’all! If you have any prayer needs, let me know.
