Taking a quick break from all the Hike for the Homeless news to share a few of our current needs at the Mission!

One of the questions we hear most often is, “What can we do to help?” Sometimes, the answer is as simple as shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, or a bottle of cold medicine.

These everyday items may not seem like much, but when they are provided for our residents and members of the community who come to us in need, they make a huge difference and they help us stretch our resources even further.

Our current needs include:
• Shampoo & Conditioner
• Body Wash
• Men’s Deodorant
• Toothpaste
• Face Wash
• Adult Ibuprofen
• Allergy Medication
• Cold & Flu Medication
• In-date Toddler Car Seats

Thank you for continuing to show up for the Mission and the people we serve.

The 5th Annual Hike for the Homeless is coming up on Saturday, September 26 at Rocky Gap State Park, and there is still time for your business or organization to become an event sponsor!

Sponsoring the Hike is more than putting your business name on an event. It’s an opportunity to stand alongside the Union Rescue Mission of Western Maryland and help us continue serving men, women, and children in our community who are experiencing homelessness.

We have several sponsorship levels available:
Contributor — $500
Silver — $1,000
Gold — $2,500
Platinum — $5,000

Sponsorship benefits include opportunities for recognition through social media, at the event, and for our Gold and Platinum sponsors, in the URM quarterly mailer.

The Hike begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by a picnic-style lunch and presentation at noon.
