This coming weekend, Wamba Caraan will be at the Lower LaVale Fire Hall parking lot - Friday, July 24, 11am to 6pm, and Saturday, July 25, 11 am to 5pm or until sold out. Italian & Polish - $9. Enjoy!

Allegany College of Maryland received a $2500 donation from Wamba Caravan #89. The scholarship is named for the late Dr. Sean McCagh, founder of the Hooley Plunge and a member of the Wamba Caravan #89. The Dr. Sean McCagh Scholarship is donated annually to ACM and is funded through money raised at Hooley Plunge.

Archway Station is the latest recipient of money raised through the Hooley Plunge. Thank you to our donors, plungers, and sponsors for helping to make this happen. The Hooley Plunge is organized by the Alhambra Wamba Caravan #89.
Archway Station’s mission is to provide psychiatric rehabilitation services to adults recovering from serious mental illness and services to adults with developmental disabilities. Archway also serves children overcoming serious emotional and/or behavioral problems.

Wamba Caravan #89 fully funded the 2026 Special Olympics of Allegany County with a $35,000 donation. The donation was part of the money raised at the 2026 Hooley Plunge. A $5000 donation from Western Maryland Outdoor Power raised through the company's annual Hooley Plunge raffle. Members of Wamba Caravan and Derrick O 'Neal, WMD Outdoor Power, presented the donations to Dottie Turner, Allegany County Director of Special Olympics.

Through funds raised by the Hooley Plunge, Wamba Caravan #89 donated $10,000 to the Pratt Program at Bishop Walsh. The Pratt Program is a learning support center that meets the specific needs of capable students in grades K-12 who have language-based learning difficulties, such as dyslexia. We also offer targeted, small group math intervention for students in grades 1-5. The program's effectiveness in using evidence-based interventions and encouraging high academic achievement is well established. Program graduates continue their education successfully at Bishop Walsh, through college and career.
