Well, my friends, here we are on Day 30 of our 30 days of prayer ahead of our nation’s Day of Prayer. I will be doing a final radio spot on WCBC this morning at 8:55am. The radio station invites area pastors and ministry leaders to come by and record one-minute prayers to play on Thursday. Thank you for your faithful prayers individually, for all the community prayer walks, services, vigils, worship and prayer events and small group meetings you all held during the past 30 days! God will surely honor all those heartfelt prayers of His children! I look forward to seeing what He does now as we continue to pray without ceasing and trust in Him. Now, let us come together as a community of faith and seek Him together as we gather for all of this year’s local NDP events, beginning with a powerful prayer rally tomorrow evening at 6:30pm at Central Assembly. See yall there and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the wonderful support of this great endeavor of faith!
Love yall in Jesus, Pastor Jim
Now, let us pray…
Heavenly Father,
We come before You at the close of these 30 days of prayer with humble hearts and grateful spirits. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords, the One who hears every cry, sees every tear, and invites us boldly to come before Your throne of grace. Thank You for the privilege of prayer—for access through Jesus Christ, and for the presence of Your Holy Spirit who leads us, strengthens us, and intercedes for us.
Lord, we pause to give You thanks. Thank You for what You have already done in these days—for stirring hearts, for uniting believers, for awakening a hunger for righteousness in our community. Thank You for every answered prayer, seen and unseen. And by faith, we thank You for what You are about to do—for the victories yet to come, for lives that will be changed, and for the revival You are preparing to pour out.
Now, Father, as we stand on the threshold of this National Day of Prayer, we lift up our nation to You. Your Word declares, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Turn our hearts back to You. Forgive us where we have wandered. Heal our land, we pray. Raise up righteousness in our cities, truth in our institutions, and integrity among our people.
We pray for our leaders—at every level of government. Grant them wisdom that comes from above, hearts that seek justice, and a reverence for You. Guide their decisions, restrain evil, and establish what is good and right in Your sight.
Lord, we lift up our loved ones—our families, our friends, our neighbors. Draw the wandering back to You. Strengthen the faithful. Save the lost. Let the light of Christ shine in our homes and overflow into our community.
We pray for the Kingdom of God to advance. Let Your church rise up in power and purity. Let us walk by faith, not by sight. Help us to be bold witnesses, clothed in the full armor of God, standing firm in truth and love. May we live in such a way that others see Jesus in us.
Father, we cry out for revival and spiritual awakening. Rend the heavens and come down. Pour out Your Spirit upon all flesh. Awaken the complacent, convict the sinner, restore the backslider, and ignite Your people with holy fire. Do a work in our day that cannot be denied—a movement of Your presence that sweeps across our land.
We also bring before You those who are afflicted—spiritually, mentally, and physically. You are the Great Physician. Bring healing to the sick, peace to the anxious, deliverance to the oppressed, and hope to the weary. Strengthen those in the battle, and surround them with Your love and power.
And now, Lord, as our community gathers in unity for this National Day of Prayer, we come humbly before Your throne. Not in our strength, but in Yours. Not trusting in ourselves, but in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask You to meet with us, to move among us, and to magnify Your name in our midst.
Let this not be the end of prayer—but the beginning of a greater work. May the flame that has been kindled over these 30 days burn brightly in the days ahead.
We declare together: You are our God, and we are Your people. Have Your way among us.
In the powerful and precious name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.
