This Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, we invite you and your family to join us for worship and encouragement as we continue our Summer in the Psalms series. Sunday School begins at 9:15 AM, with worship at 10:30 AM.

This week’s message, “Refuge and Strength” from Psalm 46:1-2, will focus on God’s presence, protection, and peace, even in uncertain times. We will reflect on Scriptures such as Psalm 62:8, Psalm 91:2, and John 16:33. Whether you are a father or seeking strength for life’s challenges, we welcome you to discover how God’s presence provides help, protection, and peace in every circumstance.

Join us this Sunday as we declare, “We will not fear,” and learn to rest in God’s faithful care at Seventh Street Baptist Church where our mission is to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known.

We invite you to join us this week for our church-wide Chronological Bible Reading Plan. Whether you are just starting out or have been reading for years, it’s a wonderful time to read God’s Word together and encourage each other along the way. “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105) Here's what we are reading this week:

June 11: 1 Kings 5–6, 2 Chronicles 2–3
June 12: 1 Kings 7, 2 Chronicles 4
June 13: 1 Kings 8, 2 Chronicles 5
June 14: 2 Chronicles 6–7, Psalm 136
June 15: Psalm 134, Psalms 146–150
June 16: 1 Kings 9, 2 Chronicles 8
June 17: Proverbs 25–26

If Psalm 23 could speak for itself, it would tell stories of comforting people who are lonely in hospital rooms, reassuring those who are afraid of uncertain diagnoses, and being with God’s children during their final moments.

We invite you to join us this Sunday, June 14, as we continue our “Summer in the Psalms” series with “The Lord is My Shepherd: Part 2,” focusing on Psalm 23:4-6. Together, we’ll explore how God’s presence helps calm our fears during life’s hardest times, bringing us peace and hope.

We’ll talk about the comfort we find in our Shepherd’s presence, the care He gives us through His protection and provision, and the promise of His goodness and mercy that follow us every day. Remember, you are never alone. God is always with you, His protection is sure, and He provides for you, even when life is difficult.

Sunday School is at 9:15 and Worship at 10:30 AM.

Join us this Sunday, June 14, at Seventh Street Baptist Church, where our mission is to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known.

As VBS comes to a close, we want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make this week such a success. Thank you to our Bible study teachers, music team, craft workers, snack volunteers, decorators, registration team, photographers, prayer warriors, and every volunteer who gave their time and energy to serve.

Most of all, thank you to the parents and grandparents who entrusted us with your children. It has been our joy to share with them that no matter what happens in life, they can always trust Jesus.

What an amazing week of fun, fellowship, and faith! We are grateful for all God has done and look forward to seeing how He continues to work in the lives of these children.

To God be the glory for a wonderful VBS 2026!

What a wonderful Day 3 at True North VBS!

Today, our children learned an important truth: When we feel powerless, we can trust Jesus. In a world that often makes us feel small, uncertain, or overwhelmed, Jesus reminds us that He is always with us and His power is greater than any challenge we face.

We had an incredible day filled with Bible study, science projects, music, games, crafts, laughter, and lots of fun as our kids continued their journey of learning to trust Jesus in a wild world!

Thank you to all of our volunteers, leaders, and families who make this week so special. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for our final Day 4!

🍪🥖 Bakers Needed! 🥧🍞

Beginning Tuesday, July 14, our new Seventh Street Welcome Team will be going out into our community to connect with residents, share the love of Christ, and invite people to worship with us.

To help make these visits warm and welcoming, we are seeking church members who would be willing to provide homemade baked goods such as cookies, breads, pies, and other treats.

Due to our desire for freshness, we ask that baked goods be brought to the church on Tuesday mornings, the day our Welcome Team will be making visits.

Your gift of baking can become a simple but meaningful way to help us fulfill our mission:

"To know Jesus Christ and to make Him known."

If you would like to participate by providing baked goods, please sign up in the comments below or contact the church office at 256-739-8724.

Thank you for helping us reach our community with the love of Christ!

Today our children learned when we feel alone we can trust Jesus. Through exciting Bible lessons, games, crafts, music, and lots of laughter, our kids discovered that Jesus is always with us in every situation.

Please continue to pray for the children, families, and leaders as we journey through True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for Day 3!
