October Food Pantry Needs: Potatoes, Stuffing

October: Faith Promise: Mission Emphasis...the month of October is "Faith Promise" month, during which we take pledges to support missions at home and around the world. Faith Promise pledge sheets are available at the missions display table in the lobby. You may take one, decide what you are able to give throughout the year, and return it to one of the offering boxes by October 25th.

October 14th: Please join us for the meal 5:30-6:15. Everyone is welcome. We have Bible Study classes for all ages following the meat at 6:30.

October 16th & 17th: The fall retreat for graded 7-12 at Gasconade Christian Service Camp. Check-in is from 4:30-5:00 pm on October 16th. Check out is on October 17th at 7:00 PM. Deans are Hudson Aikins and TJ Eacret. The cost is $50.00. Register online at https://gasonadecamp.org.

October 17th: The annual Hobo Dinner at the Peterson farm. This yearly event is on that everyone is sure to enjoy. Please see Jamie, Kenny, Roy or Penny Peterson for more information.

October 25th: Faith Promise speaker is Aryn Tanksley from Rapha House.

October 25th: Our annual "Faith Promise Dinner" will be immediately following the tally promised for missions in 2027. Please join us as we give thanks for missionaries and for the generosity of God's people.

October 26th: Leadership meeting. Elders will meet at 6:30 PM, general board will meet at 7:30 PM.

October 30th: Ladies' Game Night at 6:00 PM. Bring a snack, enjoy food and fellowship, and learn how to make preservative-free kitchen staple mixes.

Trunk or Treat: The church is participating in the town Truck or Treat. We need candy to hand out or donations to buy candy.

December 4th: Ladies' Sock Party. Mark your calendars, and additional information will be posted as the date approaches.

CIY News: CIY Event registration is now open! Please see Jonathan Haggard if you are interested in sending your child to MIX, MOVE or SUPERSTART. Information is on the bulletin board. Contact Jonathan if you have any questions. Also, if you want to learn to play an instrument such as guitar, bass guitar or drums, Jonathn Haggard is willing to take on a couple of students.

Sunday Morning Snacks: There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the foyer if you are willing to help provide snacks for Sunday morning. It is important to sign up so that we won't have too much one Sunday and not enough on another Sunday. Please consider helping with this ministry.

December 11th & 12th: Our annual "Journey to Bethlehem". Please be in prayer for the "Journey", for those who have a part in it and for those who attend.

Funeral Meals: If you can help with funeral dinners, please sign up in the foyer or see Danielle Theunissen. Areas in which to help include providing a dish, helping in the church kitchen and assisting with clean-up.

Lost & Found: There is a lost and found box in the coat closet. If you think you may have lost anything, please check to see if it is there. Everything else will be donated soon, so be sure to check.

Need a Ride? If you need a ride to church during inclement weather, sign up in the foyer. If you are willing to provide transportation to church, there is a sign up sheet for that, as well. We will match riders with drivers. See Penny Peterson or Katie Haggard with any questions.

Quilt Circle: The ladies' quilt circle meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, from 9:00-12:00. All interested ladies are welcome to join them as they make quilts for those in need.

September 30th: We need 5 crockpots of soup for "soup night". If you can help by bringing a crockpot of soup, please sign up in the foyer.

Our goal this year was $62,000.00. $71,648 was pledged, of which $49,648 has been given. Let's finish the year strong and reach our pledged amount.

September Food Pantry Needs: Canned fruit.

September 16th: Wednesday Night Meal begins at 5:30. This week's meal is sloppy joes, chips, salads and desserts. We need a couple more people to serve as monthly coordinators. If you can help us out by overseeing the meals for the month, please see Charlene or Terry. We also have sign-up sheets on the table in the foyer if you can help cook a meal or provide dessert.

September 20th: We will have a farewell dinner for Terry and Charlene immediately following the morning service. Please join us as we give thanks for our time with them and pray for them as they leave us to begin a new ministry.

September 20th: The Quilt Circle ladies have worked diligently and are pleased to invite all to see the variety of quilts that will go to missions this year. On September 20th, we will have several dozen on display in the classroom off the foyer. We are grateful and amazed by the generous gifts and prayers not only from our CCC family, but from ladies who are not members of our congregation. God bless you, and those who will receive the gifts of love and caring. May His name be glorified in all we do and say. (Isaiah 55:11).
