As Mahea Combs embarks on a new adventure following a recent promotion, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank her for the many ways she has blessed the Waypoint family. 💙

Since the fall of 2022, Mahea has been a faithful presence at Waypoint, greeting people at the front door, keeping the coffee flowing, and helping everyone feel welcome. Her joy, compassion, and willingness to serve have made Waypoint a better place.

While we’ll miss seeing her each week, we are excited for this next chapter and all that lies ahead. Waypoint sends its love with her, and we pray that she carries the Waypoint spirit wherever the Lord leads her.

🔹 Candlewood Suites St. Robert – Pray for the staff, guests, and daily operations, that they may be a place of hospitality and care.

🔹 Dixon R-1 School District – As summer continues, pray for rest, renewal, and meaningful time for students, staff, and families.

Love doesn't ignore brokenness, but neither does it give up on the people it loves.

This past week in Voices From the Edge, we explored Hosea's powerful picture of a God who continues to pursue, call, and restore even when human tendency is to wander. Hosea reminded us that God's heart is not bent toward abandonment, but toward redemption and reconciliation.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the ongoing pursuit of freedom, justice, and human dignity.

As United Methodists, we remember that John Wesley, founder of Methodism, condemned the transatlantic slave trade as an “execrable villainy,” calling it “the scandal of religion, of England, and of human nature.” His words continue to challenge us to oppose injustice and affirm the worth of every person created in God's divine image.

On this Juneteenth, we give thanks for God's liberating love, reflect on our shared history, and recommit ourselves to seeking justice, extending grace, and loving our neighbors. 🖤❤️💚

Heartland Traveling Day Camp is returning to Waypoint this summer, and we've created a list of seven reasons why you should register your child. Kids who have completed Kindergarten through 4th grade will enjoy a week packed with games, activities, friendships, and opportunities to grow in faith.

This camp is open to all children, whether your family attends Waypoint, another church, or has no church home at all.
