In Guatemala, some families survive by living in the local landfill - searching through trash for food, materials to sell, and anything else that can help meet their basic needs.

For years, Hope of Life has worked alongside families in the dump nearest to us, providing food, ministry and ongoing support. Over time, the number of people living and working here has decreased significantly, but families can still be found here trying to survive.

When our teams visit, they have the opportunity to bring food, spend time with the children and families, pray with them and help meet immediate needs.

It’s a reality many people outside of Guatemala will never see, but one that continues to exist. And it’s why showing up, building relationships and meeting practical needs matters.

The first of many. 🎓🇬🇹 Earlier this year, we opened the School of Hope with a vision to create opportunities for Guatemalans to gain practical skills, build meaningful careers and become part of the long-term transformation of their communities.

Now, we’re celebrating our very first graduating class: 21 nursing students who have completed their training and reached an incredible milestone.

🙌🙌🙌 So thankful!

This is the Children’s Hospital at Hope Of Life in Rio Hondo, Zacapa, Guatemala. (Yesterday they performed 38 cleft lip and palate surgery’s) now they will have a constant supply of clean purified water on demand for all their patients needs.
