AXIOS!!!!
His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios is pleased to recognize the Rev. Fr. Andrew George as a recipient of the 2026 Metropolitan Award.
For more than four decades, Fr. Andrew has faithfully served the faithful of the Metropolis of Boston with dedication, humility, and unwavering commitment to Christ and His Church. Following his priestly ordination in 1977, he served the parish of Saint George in Bangor, Maine, before beginning his ministry at the Church of the Annunciation in Cranston, Rhode Island, in 1983. For over 43 years, he has shepherded the Annunciation community, guiding generations of parishioners through his pastoral care, leadership, and devotion.
Fr. Andrew’s service to the Metropolis extends far beyond the parish level. From his early years as a counselor and leader in Orthodox camping ministries, including the Metropolis of Boston Camp, to his lifelong dedication to youth ministry, religious education, and the spiritual formation of young people, he has helped nurture and strengthen countless faithful throughout New England. His commitment to the growth of Orthodox Christian life has left a lasting impact on both the clergy and laity of the Metropolis.
His Eminence gives thanks for Fr. Andrew’s many years of faithful priestly ministry and is honored to recognize a pastor whose service, compassion, and leadership have enriched the life of the Metropolis of Boston for generations.
Congratulations, Fr. Andrew, on this well-deserved recognition. May God grant you many years.
