But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

I am so blessed that Jesus is the sole reason that I am saved. My works, my efforts and my abilities could not add anything to the Cross, where Jesus suffered and died for my sins. The only part of the equation is for me to turn from my sins and trust the Savior and receive His gift of salvation by grace through faith. His blood cleanses us from all sin. He wins and those who trust Him in faith will too. I pray that you know Him as Lord and Savior today. In Christ alone, the crossmaker

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! Psalm 121:2

My help certainly comes from He who is within me. It is the Living God who gave His One and Only Son to save me. I have noticed that those who stay focused on the gifts God has bestowed upon us, are less likely to get down and out. If we remind ourselves daily that He loves us and will help us with all that we need, our outlook changes. We live for Him and desire that He gets the glory, not ourselves. Keep this in your heart daily and worship Him and thank Him for all He has done, is doing and will do on your behalf. You are His sons and daughters. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone, the crossmaker

And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30

Arise and be grateful that God has granted you today as a present. So, what are you going to accomplish today for Him being so gracious to grant you another day? A few things come to mind. First, tell God thank you for this gift and thank Him for Jesus, our Savior. Pray that God would take any negative thoughts you may have and set your eyes squarely upon the Cross and what it means in totality. Live today as if it were the last one and make certain that your relationship with Him is how you connect and love the people around you. This makes for a great start every day. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone! the crossmaker

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:24-25

If you are saved today, you know its certain if the Holy Spirit of God is living within you. It does mean that you will not sin, but we have the Advocate speaking on our behalf. However, it does mean that all areas of our life should be looking more closely like Christ than our past selves. Our transgressions, past, present, and future, were nailed to the Cross and paid for in full by Jesus Christ, the Redeemer. Live by the Spirit’s leading each day and every part of the day. Be blessed on this Friday! the crossmaker

For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. 1 Thessalonians 4:14

God’s Word is my anchor, and I believe every word that He shares with us. I am encouraged and encouraging you to remember the day God changed your heart and made you a new person in Jesus. It was not a sit-down moment but a day full of joy and praise to Him who rescued you from death. People need the Lord and your task as a Christian is to know Him and make Him known. Simple obedience is all He asks for and I charge you to get going with this today. Do not put off decisions that could affect someone’s eternity. Love and encourage one another. Be blessed, the crossmaker

You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near. James 5:8

I’ve had people tell me that they don’t worry about the coming of the Lord. They either think they have plenty of time to get right with Him or they just don’t believe the Bible. From the basic stance, they are either choosing heaven or hell. This may seem course, but I know in my heart that the Bible instructs us to believe in the One who God sent, Jesus, His Only Son. Look around and review in accordance with the discussion within Revelation. Do you think things will get better before His return or worse? My desire is that you repent and trust the Savior. He promised life and its abundance. That’s a promise I have embraced, and I pray that you do as well. Be courageous dear brothers and sisters, the crossmaker

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. Proverbs 22:6

I am grateful to my parents! They led me on the right path when I was young, and I am still on it. This command from God is critical for parents and needs to be embraced more closely today. We cannot expect children to act appropriately if we as parents do not lead by example. The schools cannot do this, and we should not expect them to. Discipline occurs in the home and trains a child in the right way. Do not let this command go unattended parents and grandparents. If this goes absent from the home, it is likely that a generation of children will not know who God is and what He did for us upon that cross. Let it sink deep down and make certain you carry this out. Start today if you haven’t already. Be blessed, the crossmaker

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

As I have shared before, God desires for us to grow in His grace and mercy. We are not to stand still in our faith with Him but to grow and develop daily. We must be in His Word to see His will for our lives, and we must not let anyone deceive us. I am thankful that God granted me another day so that I can share His will with you. Embrace these Scriptures and be thankful that God loved you so much that He gave His One and Only Son. Be blessed, the crossmaker

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Ephesians 4:2

Life is about relationships and the most important One changed my life. And if you approach each person that you meet with grace and respect, my guess is they too will treat you likewise. It was Jesus that changed my perspective on everything. Grace has a way of drawing you to Him and still gives you an option for receiving Him as Lord and Savior. Be patient with others and be a light in this dark world. God bless each of you and have a wonderful Sunday! the crossmaker

Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. Colossians 3:10

Paul instructs us to embrace the new person we are in Christ Jesus. When that happens, he wants us to make a change in the things we are doing and depart from sin. As I read these verses, I don’t see where Paul expects perfection, but a growing in the grace of God and over time, leaving these old natures and sins behind us. He goes on to say that we should make allowance for others faults and forgive others just as Christ forgave us. The new nature looks like Jesus. Think on these things and put them into action dear friends and loved ones, the crossmaker
