By God’s grace, tomorrow, Sunday, April 5, will be our first Sunday gathering in our new building.

Among the many mercies the Lord has shown to our congregation, one has been the use of the Getty Sing! Hymnal in our gathered worship. Week by week, it helps us sing truthfully, reverently, and with hearts fixed upon Christ. It gives us both the rich inheritance of older hymns the church has loved for generations, and newer hymns that faithfully set forth the same gospel hope with clarity and beauty.

There is something very meaningful about singing the songs of the saints who have gone before us---but there is also joy in receiving faithful new hymns that continue to teach, strengthen, and comfort the church today. These songs teach us to praise, to repent, to hope, and to rest in the mercy of God. They remind us of who God is, what Christ has done, and how believers are to live and rest in Him.

Over the coming months, we will be sharing some of the hymns we sing together as a congregation. Our hope isn't just to highlight the music we use in worship, but also to reflect on the truths these hymns proclaim and the comfort they bring to God’s people.
