Just like small animals can't negotiate with traps, we can't negotiate with sin and temptation. There is no middle ground, it is kill or be killed by sin. But the Lord God is on our side! Ask Him for wisdom, endurance, and forgiveness, and He is faithful to give it! We can't bargain with sin, but praise God, Jesus has already defeated it!

We can look to the Lord for mercy! God's very nature is one that desires to show mercy to those who call on Him on repentance. So, if you feel weighed down by the contempt of life, look to the Lord and He will give you mercy!

Often times when we feel uncomfortable or in distress, we look to a simple solution or react out of bitterness. But God tells us to lament to Him, bring our distress to Him. Call out to the Lord in your distress and He will hear you!
