Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a day none of us will forget. Lives were lost. Families were changed forever. And in the days that followed, we saw both the depth of human tragedy and the strength of human compassion.
September 11th, Our Savior's pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the families who still carry that loss every day.
We also remember that grief and hope can hold hands. In the wake of tragedy, our world needs prayer more than ever, not just for the past, but for the generations still to come.
So today, we light a candle and pray:
For peace among nations.
For comfort for those still grieving.
For a generation growing up who only knows this day through stories, that they would carry forward not fear, but hope.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5:9
We will never forget. And we will never stop praying for peace, for this generation and every one after it. 🕯️
