💕A Story from Our Open Home🏡 - Eight siblings. One night. Everything they owned fit into the bags they carried. Their ages ranged from 15 years old to 13 months.
When the call went out for volunteers, Memphis answered. Beds were made, baths were drawn, clothes were washed, and warm meals were prepared. That night, eight children who had experienced unimagnaible upheaval fell asleep in a safe, peaceful home.
The next morning, they gathered around the table for a breakfast that had been lovingly prepared and prayed over. Then came popsicles, swings, basketball, laughter, and smiles. For a few precious hours, they weren't children in crisis - they were simply children.
This is the mission of Isaiah 117 House: providing physical and emotional comfort in the moments children need it most.
