📖 WEDNESDAY READING — Day 3: Obadiah 1; Jonah 1–2 — "The Storm of the Lord"

✨ Highlights:
• Obadiah 1:15: "The day of the LORD upon all the nations is near" — Edom's pride deceived them (1:3), but no nation — and no heart — stands beyond God's judgment or His reach.
• Jonah 1–2: Jonah runs, a great storm rises, and even from the belly of the fish he prays: "Salvation is of the LORD" (Jonah 2:9). God hears — and gives him another chance to obey.

🤔 Question: Is there a direction God has called you to go that you've been running from — and what would turning around look like today?

🧘 MIDWEEK MEDITATION MINUTE
Halfway through the week — stop running for 60 seconds. Sit still, breathe slowly, and pray Jonah's words out loud: "Salvation is of the LORD." Then ask God, honestly, where you need to turn around — and listen before you move. 🙏

• Lamentations 4 faces the cost of turning from God — sobering, but honest.
• Ezekiel 1 opens with an astonishing vision: God's throne-chariot, wheels within wheels — God is on the move even in exile.

🤔 Question: Ezekiel saw God's glory in Babylon, far from home. Where have you seen God show up in an unexpected place?

✨ Highlights:
• Amos 5:24: "Let justice run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream" — God calls His people back: "Seek Me and live" (5:4).
• Amos 9:11, 15: God promises to raise up David's fallen tabernacle and plant His people in their land, never to be pulled up again — He restores what has fallen.

• Amos 1:2: "The LORD roars from Zion" — when God speaks, His word shakes everything around it.

"For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." (NKJV)

• God wants a heart that knows Him — mercy and real relationship over empty ritual. Jesus Himself said, "go and learn what this means" (Matthew 9:13).
• Three prophets, one reversing God: Hosea shows Jesus the Bridegroom, Joel the Restorer, and Amos the King who raises what has fallen.

🤔 Question to think about: Where is God reversing a curse in your life — and what would returning to Him look like today?
