What special needs DADS are dealing with… but probably won’t tell you.
Nobody talks enough about the special needs dads.
The dads working overtime to cover therapies and medical bills.
The dads sitting in hospital parking lots trying to hold it together before walking back inside.
The dads grieving the life they thought their child would have while fiercely loving the life in front of them.
The dads who feel invisible because everyone asks how mom is doing… but never asks them.
Some of these men are carrying fear, exhaustion, pressure, and heartbreak in silence.
Their strength looks like:
Showing up after no sleep.
Learning feeding tubes and medications.
Missing hunting trips, golf weekends, and nights out because caregiving comes first.
Working all day and still coming home ready to lift, bathe, calm, and comfort their child.
A lot of special needs dads feel isolated.
A lot feel forgotten.
So here’s your reminder:
We see you too, dad.
Your sacrifice matters.
Your presence matters.
Tag a special needs dad who deserves to be reminded he’s doing an amazing job.
