At worship this Sunday, commit to finding a way to bless someone else and draw them to Jesus. Be creative. Think outside the box. Do something together as a LifeGroup if you would like. Here are some ideas:

🙏🏻 Come 10 minutes early and pray over the empty seats in the worship center. 
👀 Look for someone you don’t know and bless them. 
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Pray over a friend or family nearby you (in person!) and ask God to move in their lives. 
🤝 Purposely seek out someone you don’t know and introduce yourself. 
🍔 Ask someone to lunch at your home or to a restaurant. 
👋 Invite someone new, or someone sitting alone, to sit with you. 
🪑 Go sit somewhere you normally don’t. 
🙏🏻 Ask God to change your perspective. Don’t come looking to receive; arrive ready to give.

Week 5 Practice - "The Kingdom Way"

Practice Following Jesus - Seeking and Seeing the Kingdom
This week we are going to take some very practical steps to reframe our eyes and mindset to live in the kingdom of Jesus here and now. To begin each day, remind yourself of three things (Borrowed from James Bryan Smith’s “The Good and Beautiful Community”)

1️⃣I am beloved by God.
2️⃣I belong to the unshakable kingdom of God.
3️⃣Jesus’s kingdom is not in trouble, and neither am I.

Every day this week do at least 1 action that embodies the kingdom on behalf of someone else. Here are some ideas:
Pray for the other people in the cars you are traveling beside in traffic.

💁Let someone go in front of you in line.
📱Fast from social media or news.
☕️Pay for someone’s coffee or meal.
🍽️Make a casserole or goodie for a neighbor.
✉️Invite a neighbor/coworker to dinner.
💌Send that encouragement note/text you have been meaning to send.
👫Set up a date night for a young couple.

GC's Chaplain Tom Barnes and the Kairos Prison Ministry are accepting applications for the Closing Service of Kairos Weekend at the Luther Unit. Applications are due Sept. 25 and the service is Nov. 1. The incarcerated men of the Luther Unit in Navasota are invited to participate in Kairos Weekend, and you are invited to worship, pray, and hear their testimonies and takeaways from that weekend at the Closing Service.
