E.D.T., Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, for an interactive online event for kids about the Busy Bees: the real-life Sunday school students who raised enough money to help furnish Mary Baker Eddy's room at The Mother Church. The program is recommended for ages 5–10, but all are welcome.

Rachel Crane Mather (1823–1903) was a pioneer in bringing education and opportunity to African Americans. Like Mary Baker Eddy, she found her life’s purpose in middle age and on her own. While the two women crossed paths only briefly, a letter in our collection indicates that their encounter was evidently quite meaningful to Mather.
