Join us this Saturday, October 24th, at Celebrate Recovery Wake Church for Lesson 19-Crossroads. In recovery Steps 10-12 are sometimes called the Daily Maintenance steps. I like this term for them because I find it important for me to be reminded that recovery is a daily process. After all, when you finish a step study you are not given a diploma, and there are no graduation ceremonies in Celebrate Recovery. Daily maintenance helps us to continue on our lifelong recovery journey. In particular, Step 10 instructs us to spend time looking back at our day and if needed to make amends to others. This daily process helps us to see the good and the bad in our recovery and helps to preserve our relationships with others.
We will also be celebrating everyone who has years of surrender!

Join us this Saturday, September 26th, at Celebrate Recovery at Wake Church for Lesson 17 - Forgiveness!
Celebrate Recovery’s Principle 1 says that pretending the hurt isn’t there or that it doesn’t bother you anymore won’t solve your problems.

Jeremiah 6:14 reminds us that “You can’t heal a wound by saying it’s not there!”

This is key to why we look back in recovery:
As we work through our regular inventory we realize the roots of our compulsive behaviors and addictive desires can be traced back to buried pain. This is recovery up to this point: realizing I am wounded, know God can heal, allowing him to heal, open up the wound, confess our wounded-ness, allow God to clean it out, and now be willing to make amends and offer forgiveness.. This is the lasting solution!

We will also be celebrating Clif, Jason, James and Jesse who are celebrating years of surrender to Jesus Christ!
We are so proud of you all and so grateful that you are part of our CR family!

We would love for you to join us this Saturday, September 12th at Celebrate Recovery at Wake Church. Everyone is welcome.
Joseph Richardson will be giving Lesson 16: Amends. In this lesson, we are refocusing our recovery from our internal recovery to relational recovery, beginning the repair work necessary to improve our interpersonal relationships. Making amends is the beginning of the end of our isolation from God and others.

Matthew 5:23-24
So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
